Yesie Yoon, MD has over ten years of experience as a pediatrician, child and adolescent psychiatrist, and a general psychiatrist. She has held various clinical, educational, and administrative leadership positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Children's of Alabama, and Montefiore Medical Center since graduating from the Cincinnati Children's Hospital/University of Cincinnati's combined pediatrics/psychiatry/child and adolescent psychiatry program ("triple board program") in 2016. She is currently board certified in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child & adolescent psychiatry.

The initial appointment will be conducted via telehealth. Based on the initial assessment and if indicated, in-person appointment may be carefully scheduled. We will work with you to discuss the most appropriate setting of care you receive.
The answer is yes and no. At this time, Maum Psychiatry is not in-network with any insurance carriers. But there is a way to utilize your medical insurance. There are number of services that can check your insurance benefits, help you file claims, and track reimbursement for you. We can guide you through the process so you can get the care you need and get reimbursement from your insurance company.
In general, the child (patient) and all legal guardians are required to be present during the initial appointment to ensure we gather the most comprehensive information about your child and to consider all aspects of your child’s health. Also, initial appointments are conducted virtually. For follow-up appointments, we may carefully plan in-person or parent-only sessions when appropriate and clinically beneficial.
